"Living Gifts" is the first album by the Graceflock group, which leads Contemporary worship services at Christ Our Shepherd Lutheran Church in Peachtree City, GA. The album contains all original music written by three of the band's members, Gary Pederson, Lans Rothfusz and Del Boland. The 16 new and original Christian songs are varied in style, ranging from rock opera to ballad to country swing-something for everyone. Songs featured on the CD include "Eyes of Hope," written by Gary Pederson, which was inspired by the horrific conditions he saw as a volunteer at Biloxi, Mississippi, in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. "Soli Deo Gloria" and "Serve On!," two songs written by Lans Rothfusz, have been used extensively in worship at Christ Our Shepherd. Proceeds from CD sales will go to Hurricane Katrina relief efforts and to outreach efforts of the congregation. "The purpose of the CD is to spread the Good News of God's love to all who want or need to hear it in a contemporary style," said Senior Pastor, John Weber. Comprised of 14 musicians, Graceflock has been leading worship services each Sunday for five years with a mixture of original and well-known contemporary Christian songs. David Beecher, Minister of Music at Christ Our Shepherd and one of the founding members of the group, commented, "The musicians are blessed with careers in fields other than music; they have chosen to give back their impressive talents to the glory of God."
