About the Artist Continuing in the tradition of George Winston and Lorie Line, Krsiti Kruse weaves a tapestry of color into her solo piano music. From warm and poignant melodies to dynamic sounds, this music is designed as nourishment for the soul. Kristi's concerts include inspiring hymn arrangements, new-age original compositions and a variety of well-known favorite songs. Being passionate about music and it's power to touch people's lives prompted Kristi to start recording her arrangements and compositions. Her first recording "Afterthoughts" was released in March of 2001 and is an intimate and thoughtful collection of music--perfect for background music or for that quiet Sunday morning cup of coffee. She quickly followed up with "Little Gifts" a musical gift basket of holiday tunes and heartfelt original compositions. Her recordings are now being used for the Dubuque Community School's website and "FaithQuest" a United Methodist Church Visual production. Kristi has been free-lancing in the Minneapolis-St. Paul area since 1991. Formally a Dayton's pianist, now she frequently entertains for the St. Paul Convention and Visitors Bureau, charity events and many private celebrations throughout the Minneapolis-St. Paul area. She has recetnly expanded her touring area to perfrom concerts at local churches in Dubuque, Iowa, Fargo, North Dakota, Eau Claire, Wisconsin and Fond du Lac, Wisconsin. Kristi began taking lessons at the age of seven and soon acquired a partner as the family dog Penny would sleep under the piano bench as Kristi practiced. Kristi received her Bachelors of Music Degree from the University of Wisconsin in Eau Claire and her Master of Music and Doctorate of Musical Arts degrees from the University of Minneasota in Minneapolis.
